THIS DAY IN ELVIS HISTORY... OCTOBER 11TH, 1956 - COTTON BOWL - DALLAS, TX.

Today, Elvis enters the Cotton Bowl in an open convertible which takes him to the stage.

He played in front of 26,500 screaming fans. Elvis broke new records in $$. The show grossed $29,955.84! That's why the new issue of Variety called him, for the 1st time ever... "THE KING OF ROCK N ROLL."
