The Catch made 50 Years Ago is Still Magical

This October 15th will mark the 50th anniversary of arguably the greatest catch ever made in professional sports. We're talking about that magical October stretch 50 years ago in which the madcap METS lost Game 1 to the overwhelmingly favored Baltimore Orioles, then won four in a row to become the World Champions.

"The Catch" belongs to Ron Swoboda. He made it in Game 4, a diving, game-saving grab in right-center. The METS won Game 4 in 10 innings, then ended the Series in Game 5 when, would you believe, Swoboda's eighth-inning double brought in the winning run.

To mark the 50th anniversary, the legend sat down with Joe Petruccio recently to sign a limited number of the artist's rendition of the famous catch. Only 50 prints have been released, each hand signed by Ron Swoboda and Joe Petruccio.

Available for a limited time at www.JoeyPaints.com. $695 unframed / $995 framed. Accompanied by 3rd party authentication by James Spence Authentication (JSA).
